Hello August

August is here! It is still so hot outside but it feels like summer is coming to a close! School starts up for a lot of kids this month and I know some who have already started school!

Did you have a good July? We had a fun month with a long roadtrip to Washington and lots of fun little adventures with our boys.

The Most Popular Recipe in July was…

Death By Chocolate BrowniesDeath By Chocolate Brownies

I had so much fun going all crazy with chocolate when I created this recipe! I’m glad you guys like my craziness. These brownies are amazing!

My Favorite Recipes in July were…

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe was so fun to make! It looks so cool too when you cut it in half. I think there will be more stuffed cookie creations in my future!

While not exactly a recipe this party was so fun! I especially loved the cupcakes!

Fun Blog News:

Well not super fun news. I made a big mistake and lost 3 years of blog pictures! Thanks to some very sweet blog friends who have been and will be guest posting and my mom watching my boys a couple of times I only have 1 more year of pictures to fix! The good news is going over each older post has given me the chance to make sure everything looks right and add a lot of printable recipes to the old posts!

Becky’s Bites of Life:

Love to be in the KitchenThe beginning of the month we took a LONG road trip to Washington State for a family reunion at Fort Flagler. It was fun to get to know my husband’s side of the family better and the boys had a lot of fun! It was really cold but that beats the 100 degree weather we were having in Utah at the same time.

Love to be in the KitchenMy father-in-law makes the best food in Dutch ovens! We had a delicious dinner! Too bad we can’t have Dutch oven every night!

Love to be in the KitchenWe loved seeing the last flying B-29 bomber from WW2. The boys love airplanes and had a blast!

Love to be in the KitchenMy husband and I are BIG Smashburger fans! We were both lucky to be selected to eat dinner at a new location by our house  for a VIP opening! We brought my parents and enjoyed some amazing food!

Love to be in the KitchenWe love taking our boys to new parks. We went to a really fun one they really enjoyed, Discovery Park. If you live in Utah you have to go!

Love to be in the KitchenWe also enjoy trying new splash pads. They loved this one!

I hope you all have a wonderful August! If your kids are in school when does school start for them? My little guys will start kindergarten on August 26th. I can’t believe it!

Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes!

You got to see Fifi! That’s so cool! We saw her in 2012 before we left Michigan. We even got to see her take off. Now that’s quite a slow, noisy feat! I can’t imagine how loud and smoky it would have been to see a whole squadron of them. 🙂
