Becky’s Bites of Life- February

March 3, 2014 by becky 10 Comments

Hello March!via

Isn’t this picture so pretty!? Goodbye freezing cold snowy winter and hello spring! My  boys and I have been able to enjoy some warmer weather outside and it’s been so nice. I am not a fan of being cold!

The Most Popular Recipe in February was…

Graham CrackersGraham Crackers!

This recipe was so popular this month it’s already my most pinned recipe on my blog! Crazy! But it’s no surprise. These graham crackers are SO simple to make. My boys love them and they are pretty healthy too. I’ll be making more of these today for our little road trip tomorrow!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos

I have to mention this crazy little recipe- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos. I just posted these on Thursday and they’ve already been pinned 8K+ (which is a lot for my little blog!) and I wasn’t even going to make this into it’s own post! I was just going to include it in the Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles post. These are a little sinful… but seriously one of the best things I have eaten in my life! So incredible!

My Favorite Recipe in February was…

Five-Cup Fruit SaladFive-Cup Fruit Salad

Super quick to put together and so good! I really enjoyed this recipe.

Becky’s Bites of Life:

February was a great month! Here’s a few highlights:

Becky Love to be in the KitchenTo make my husband’s birthday extra special I planned a surprise date for the Friday night before his birthday. My sister-in-law (she’s in hair school) curled my hair and did my makeup. I loved it! I am terrible at styling my hair so it was a nice change! My husband knew we had a date that night but thought he was coming home like usual but just before he got off work I surprised him by showing up in his office! It was awesome!

Gloria's Little ItalyWe had dinner at one of our all-time favorite restaurants, Gloria’s Little Italy. We have both been to Italy and LOVE Italian food. Their food is authentic and always so amazing! This was one of my favorite dates ever! 🙂

Derek had a great birthday this year. I made his traditional birthday “cake” of Tiramisu and it was so good!

waffle luvFor Valentine’s Day my husband surprised us all and took us to the Waffle Luv truck! To say I am now obsessed is an understatement! It was SO good I can’t wait to go back! Who wants to join me? lol Their waffles are authentic leige waffles and just so darn amazing. My favorite is with Biscoff, their to-die-for cream and strawberries! (Favorite so far, one day I’ll try all their flavors!)

Skyroom #byuSince my husband got a free lunch at the Skyroom (BYU) the kids and I joined him for lunch.  It’s buffet style. Their desserts are so amazing and top quality! Next time I’ll have to save more room for dessert. This carrot cake was so good but I was so full I only could have a few bites.

IMG_20140221_172724My boys are so silly! Asher is so in love with his older brother. He copies almost everything he does. They are best buddies and it makes me so happy. I adore these boys!

What recipes would you like to see on my blog this month?  I have some fun spring recipes and healthier recipes so far for this month I am excited to share!

I hope you all have a great month! Thanks so much for reading my blog!

I used to work at the Skyroom freshman year. I highly recommend their taco salad, any of the fruit specialty drinks, and the chocolate cake. It makes me hungry just thinking about it!
