A review of your favorite recipes from March, a little from my life and recipe inspiration for April!
March was a great month! My daughter turned 3 on the 3rd, my son 18 months last week, and we went on a fun family vacation to San Diego. The above picture is one of my favorite ones of my boys! They loved Sea World. Keep scrolling to see a few more fun pics from our trip. This week is spring break for my older boys so we are having fun doing things close to home.
Here’s a look back at March…
Favorite Recipes in March…
Slow Cooker Maple Brown Sugar Ham was your favorite recipe in March! Your second favorite was Healthy Carrot Muffins.
Also popular were Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs, Marinated Grilled Pork Chops, and Pesto Pasta Salad.
Becky’s Bites of Life:
Carina is 3 now! Somehow she got the memo about terrible 3’s so that’s been a bit rough this month but overall she’s a very sweet girl and we adore her! She requested a pink cake and so that’s what she got! I’m no cake expert but she loved it! I have been experimenting lately with ice cream cakes etc. So stay tuned for some deliciousness coming your way.
Our little trip to San Diego was fun! Luke didn’t love the drive there (honestly he hated it) if you have any tips for a 1 1/2-year-old toddler on a long car drive PLEASE hit me up with suggestions as we have an even longer car trip coming up this July.
My kids LOVED Sea World! The highlight of our day was the beluga whale. lol My boys each got a plush little beluga whale and they are so happy.
We didn’t get to try too many food places but my #1 favorite place in San Diego was the Donut Bar. If you go, get there early as they close when they sell out. I would go by 11 am. And get the creme brulee and Nutella overload donuts. AMAZING.
Other great San Diego Eats:
Phil’s BBQ, Handel’s Ice Cream, VG Donut’s (go early), Hodad’s Burgers, Taco Stand, Gourmet Bagger Sandwich (not fancy but a great sandwich place to go if you have young kids, they loved the grilled cheese sandwich.) Miguel’s Cocina, Pizza Bella, and DZ Akins. (My kids would add IHOP to the list. lol They loved the pancakes there!)
We also went to Legoland and another day took a boat tour and explored San Diego. It was so great to be together as a family again for a week as life has been too busy lately! Vacations are my favorite!

Thoughts/Things I’m Loving Lately:
-I just discovered Pure Organic Layered Fruit Bars and they are so good! The Strawberry Banana flavor is my favorite. I got it at Costco on sale or I linked to it on Amazon.
-One of my favorite tasty and quick snacks lately is popcorn. I love the Organic Nearly Naked brand because it’s non-GMO, has only 38 calories per cup and is made with only a few ingredients! Right now at Costco it’s only $5.39 a bag but starting from April 19 – May 13 the price will drop to $3.49 a bag. (Amazing!) So be sure to grab a bag! Or two or three… My kids and I are loving having movie nights lately with this popcorn.
What products or things are you loving lately? I’d love to hear!
Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes! I have some delicious recipes coming your way!
-Becky
