Recipes for Labor Day + Becky’s Bites of Life- August Must-make recipes for this Labor Day Weekend plus a review of your favorite recipes from August and a little from my life!

Yay for September! This summer was a good one but fall is my favorite season of the year! I know it’s not officially Fall yet but despite the hot weather outside, I am pretending it is! College football has already started for us (BYU) and we’ve put up all our fall decorations. My oldest son is now in 3rd grade and my 2nd son in kindergarten. They are loving it so far and we are all starting to get into a routine which is nice. I stay home with my younger kids. Carina is 2 1/2 now and Luke is almost 1, in only a few weeks! Time flies! My husband started his 2nd year of his MBA program. It’s an executive program so he works full time during the week then has class almost all day every other weekend. Not to mention the hours of homework and group meetings during the week. We are grateful he is able to get this degree though and I have learned a lot over the last year. (Like how to take care of 4 kids mostly on my own. haha)

Labor Day weekend is here so below are my favorite recipes that would be perfect to make this weekend!

Becky’s Bites of Life:

August was a great month! My brother-in-law came home from his 2-year mission to England, we enjoyed some last summer fun and school started for my older boys. Here’s a glimpse into our month!

Solar Eclipse 2017

Where did you watch the eclipse from? I was home in Utah but I think it would have been so cool to travel to see it in the path of totality. It was really neat here though. These shadows were awesome!

Levi is in 3rd grade now! He is loving it! He has adjusted way better than usual and I think that’s inpart to having the same teacher as last year and knowing some kids in his class. (First Day of School printable from Mother’s Niche.)

Asher is LOVING kindergarten! He is so happy every day I pick him up! I’m so glad! I made him these cookies to celebrate his first day. It has been a tradition since Levi started kindergarten to put the grade they are in with M&M’s on my Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies. They LOVE it!

Bluffdale house

My parents just moved from my childhood home yesterday! They lived there for 38 years. But since my dad’s stroke, they knew it was time to downsize. The yard and house are too big for just the two of them. It will be so weird not going back here but I am grateful for so many great memories. I am blessed to have such wonderful parents!

My baby Luke is growing up way too fast! He is all over the place and loves to climb on the dishwasher, get into the toilet water and more! haha He keeps me on my toes!

Thoughts/Things I’m Loving Lately:

-I like Nutella but am not crazy about it. I recently tried a similar product, Nocciolata Dairy Free Hazelnut & Cocoa Spread. It’s SO good! Have you tried it? I probably like it better than Nutella because the ingredients are higher quality.

-My kids love Pokemon so I got them this Charmander and Pikachu plush toys. It’s cute how happy it makes them!

-If you live in Utah have you been to Snowbird in the summer? We took our kids there a couple weeks ago and took the tram up, enjoyed the views and ate lunch. They have a lot of other fun activities too.

What products or things are you loving lately? I’d love to hear!

What things are you looking most forward to this September? Have you put up your fall decorations yet? We did last week and I am loving it!

Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes! I have some yummy recipes coming your way!
