10 Favorite Picture Books your kids will love!
Reading good books is one of our favorite things to do! We go to the library usually once a week and my kids love picking out whatever book they want. I love when we find a book that we all love and one that they want me to keep reading often to them. Over the past few months I have written down our very favorite picture books so I could share them with you! (Also be sure to check out my previous post of picture books we love.) Now that it’s summer break we plan on reading even more! We’ll be reading these books again for sure and discovering new favorites.
Enjoy and happy reading!
This one is Asher’s very favorite! (He’s 4.) This book is witty and tells an interesting story using photos of real objects. It’s very clever and fun!
This is another fun one similar to the last. My kids thought it was hilarious!
If you are a fan of Press Here you will LOVE this book too! (If you haven’t read Press Here I highly recommend it!) This book is very fun and interactive and will teach your kids what happens when you put certain colors together.
The Pigeon Find a Hot Dog!
A fun and silly book that made my boys laugh! And want a hot dog! There are a lot of books in this series too so you’ll want to check them all out!
The Moon Shines Down
A rhyming book that helps get your kids ready to sleep. It’s calming and captures their attention. My 6 year old could read almost all the words.
My kids enjoyed reading about how the moon shines down on children around the world.
Polar Bear’s Underwear
Mouse helps Polar Bear find his underwear in this amusing journey. My kids found it very funny and my 1st grader was able to read it to my 4 year old. We really loved this one!
I can’t begin to tell you how much we LOVE the Elephant and Piggie books! I think we have read every book in the series. These books are very intriguing and funny. It’s a fabulous book series for beginning readers too. My 1st grader absolutely loves these books and my 4 year old as well.
This book was great at explaining how some of us are similar in a lot of ways and some of us are different but we are all special and equally important. This was a great book to read with my kids and have an open discussion about this topic. We live in a place with not too much diversity so I was glad to have found this book so we could easily discuss the topic. There are also other books in these series discussing other important but sometimes hard topics.
Ever since my kids were young they have been fascinated by the moon so they loved reading about Mae and her love for the moon. This book was charming and interesting for them.
Aliens in Underpants Save the World
This silly book will keep your kids laughing! It will capture their attention and make them smile. We love the other books in this series like Dinosaurs Love Underpants.
