Becky’s Bites of Life- December

January 5, 2016 by becky 8 Comments

2016

Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2015 was a great year for you and that 2016 brings more happy memories your way.

December was a crazy month for us! We moved the second week of December. It wasn’t the best timing but we were able to get most things unpacked and the house looking good by Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you did too! My husband only worked a few days the last couple of weeks and it was so nice! Now back to reality. I’m excited for the new year. This year I hope to continue to improve on all aspects of my life. I have so many great recipes in mind for my blog this year and I know you will love it! My main food goal for the year is to eat more vegetables and whole grains. And a big part of that is helping my kids do the same. They like more and more types of vegetables each year so I am going to keep trying new ways of serving vegetables that we can all enjoy! Lately I’ve been more consistent on making smoothies and adding plenty of greens. I bought a bag of mixed greens from Sprouts that I just keep in the freezer that makes adding greens so easy! Check it out on my Instagram. What are your goals for this year?

Here’s a quick recap of last month.

The Most Popular Recipe in December was…

Graham Cracker Toffee

Graham Cracker Toffee

This toffee rocks! Only a few ingredients and this amazing treat is ready in no time! It’s so delicious too! My sister couldn’t believe how simple the recipe was for how amazing it tastes!

And my most popular recipe of the month that wasn’t posted in December was Cranberry Salad.

Becky’s Bites of Life:

BYU Fudge

Have you ever tried BYU Fudge? We got some from my husbands work party and it was soooo good! I need to learn how to make real fudge!

Christmas

The boys excitement for Christmas makes it such a magical time of year! They were both crazy excited for Christmas and it was so much fun celebrating Christmas with them the entire month. They love seeing Christmas lights, especially on houses that are all decked out that has music to go along with it. Christmas Eve when we set out cookies and milk for Santa and Christmas morning when they first came down the stairs was so magical! I’ll never forget it. Their happiness makes me so happy!

Carina- 10 Months

Carina is 10 months now! She is growing so fast and it’s crazy how much she has learned. She is the most curious baby. She is always exploring and destroying the house. haha The puppy in this picture is her favorite and it goes everywhere with her! I absolutely adore this girl and can’t get enough of her!

What things are you looking most forward to this year?

Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes! I have some awesome recipes and posts coming your way!

I love BYU fudge, especially the penuche. Of course, the regular milk chocolate is divine. Such good memories from my college days. 🙂 Happy New Year.
