My Favorite Recipes of 2011

December 30, 2011 by becky 1 Comment

I love all the recipes on my blog but I certainly have my favorite!  These aren’t all from this year since I started this blog in October 2010.  I had a hard time choosing my favorite so I ended up picking my top 12.  I have made most of these recipes many times and they are ones that my friends and family love as well.  I get so excited when I make something amazing and I look forward to discovering more amazing recipes in 2012 and sharing them with you all. I hope you all have a happy New Year!
Chocolate Silk Pie
Chocolate Silk Pie
This is my favorite thing by far I have made this year. This was a huge hit this Thanksgiving and I can’t wait to try it again. mmm!
Ham and Cheese Quiche Ham and Cheese Quiche
I’ve been making this quiche for years now. We love it!
Peanut Butter Balls

This is a much healthier version of Buckeyes. I am proud of these because I came up with the recipe!  Derek’s family are crazy over these.
Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Bean Frosting
Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Bean Buttercream
After discovering vanilla bean paste last year I was excited to try out this frosting. Since then I’ve made it many times. Everyone begs to lick the bowl the frosting was made in.
Super Soft Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

You can’t go wrong with a recipe that says super soft and buttercream! I love these!
NY Times Chocolate Chip Cookies
The NY Times Chocolate Chip Cookie
I’ve seen this recipe on just about every food blog I look at and for good reason. These cookies are the best I’ve ever had!  I always keep plenty of this cookie dough in my freezer.
Strawberry-Orange-Blueberry Smoothie
 Strawberry-Blueberry-Orange Smoothie
The recipe is pretty much in the name.  This is my favorite smoothie ever and is much cheaper than buying a smoothie.
perfect Chocolate Cake
 Black Magic Cake
Eat this after it’s been in the fridge for a couple of hours and you will be amazed!
Caramel Chocolate Chip Brownies
 Caramel Chocolate Chip Brownies
This is one of the easiest recipes on my blog. Make sure you don’t make it just for yourself; they are dangerously tempting!
No-Bake Energy Bites
 No-Bake Energy Bites
These are so quick to make and I love having them in the fridge for a quick snack.
Lasagna Lasagna
I finally made lasagna for the first time this year. Derek loved it and he knows a good lasagna when he has it. His favorite food is lasagna and he spent 2 years in Italy on a LDS mission.
TacosTacos
Using Alton Brown’s taco seasoning you will not believe how you can step up your taco meat in flavor!  I also use this basic recipe to make my burritos, taco salad and more.
