Christmas Treats

December 14, 2011 by becky Leave a Comment

One of my favorite things about Christmas time is making Christmas treats. It’s my favorite time of year to bake!  I love sharing them with others.  Below are different Christmas treats I have made since starting my blog. All of them are incredibly yummy and great ideas for making cookies with your kids or friends and sharing with friends and family.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

This cookie is one of my absolute favorite cookies!  If you haven’t tried it yet you are seriously missing out!  These cookies look amazing and have an incredibly soft and yummy center.  My aunt makes these for my family ever year. When I was off to college my mom would freeze these for me so I could have some. These are amazing!  I’ve made these for my neighbors for a few years now and I’m always asked for the recipe.

These are incredibly simple to make but incredibly good!  This is a fun dessert decorating activity to do with kids.

 Homemade OreosHomemade Oreos

Who doesn’t love Oreos? You can add a few drops of food coloring to the creme to make it red and green.

NY Times Chocolate Chip Cookies Chocolate Chip Cookies

This isn’t exactly a Christmas cookie but it is the best chocolate chip cookie ever!  If you want to make it more Christmasy you could add red and green m&m’s on top of the cookie dough balls before baking it.

Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing

Although a little time consuming, one of my favorite things to make during Christmas time are sugar cookies.  You can do any shape you want and be as creative as you want with the decorating.

These cookies are amazing! Super soft and so good.  This is much quicker than decorating with royal icing.

Everyone I know loves cake balls.  My favorite thing about cake balls is you can be as creative as you want. You can choose the type of cake and frosting you use as well as what type of chocolate to dip it in and how you want to decorate it.
