Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Energy Bites are full of healthy energy-boosting ingredients and makes the perfect healthier and delicious snack!

Energy bites are my go-to snack. It’s so convenient to grab and just eating a couple of them gives me the energy I need to keep going on with my busy days! Some of my favorite energy bite recipes I’ve shared with you are my Chocolate Cookie Energy Bites, Monster Cookie Energy Bites, and Toffee Energy Bites.
My boys declared these energy bites their very favorite! They love all things chocolate and peanut butter. I had these ready for them to snack on when they came home from school and it made them so happy to have a yummy snack and it made me happy it was a healthier snack. They love cookies and candy a little too much so I often try to replace those unhealthy snacks with healthier alternatives like energy bites.

Here’s an overview of the ingredients and their benefits:
Peanut Butter- Full of protein, fiber, and potassium. Gives you an energy boost.
Oats- Filling, whole-grain, full of fiber and so much more!
Honey- Natural sweetener and full of vitamins.
Flax Seed- High in Omega 3, full of antioxidants, and vitamins.
Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chips- Something sweet and delicious to make this recipe more fun!
(Optional) Chia Seed- Full of Iron, Omega 3, and even more vitamins and minerals.
(Optional) Wheat Germ- Boosts immune system, full of nutrients.

One thing I did differently with these energy bites than I usually do is I added a little bit of oat flour. This makes the texture of the energy bites smoother and more cookie like. I think that’s why my kids declared this their new favorite energy bite recipe. But feel free to use all oats if you want. To make oat flour, all you do is blend oats until it becomes the texture of flour. I make my own about every other month and keep it in my pantry.
Enjoy!
