A review of your favorite recipes from December, a little from my life and dinner inspiration for January!
Happy New Year friends! I hope 2017 was a great year for you and that 2018 will be even better! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was so magical. Each year it just keeps getting better and better! What a year 2017 was! I adjusted to life with 4 kids, my husband being gone most of the time, and learned to be better organized and use my time more wisely. It was a year of a lot of growth! I’m a better person because of it and I can’t wait to see what this coming year will bring.
I’ve adjusted Becky’s Bites of Life a little from the usual. Let me know what you think! If you’d like to see more or less recipes and things from my life.

Becky’s Bites of Life:
I shared this picture on my Instagram stories from when I made the world’s most delicious chocolate pie! I made it a few times for different Christmas parties and it was AMAZING every time! Have you made it yet?
Los Angeles Trip
My husband and I took a short trip JUST THE TWO OF US to Los Angeles early in December and it was amazing! He had just started his 1-month break from school (he’s in the executive MBA program at BYU) so I finally got to see him! The past few months were CRAZY and I felt like I hardly saw him at all! So this trip was much needed!
I could share a million pictures with you but I’ll keep it brief. Our first stop was Universal Studio Hollywood. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was magical and such a dream to be there! We LOVED it and are now huge Butterbeer fans! I am thinking of doing a post on the best foods to eat there since I couldn’t find anything before the trip on it. Would you be interested in that?
The next day we went to Knott’s Berry Farm which was really fun! Then our last day we went to Disney’s California Adventure and it was amazing!
Disney sure does everything beyond perfect! The atmosphere, rides, food and just everything is so amazing! We had a blast!
Sprinkle Episode
My darling 2 1/2-year-old girl, dumped NINE bags of my sprinkles from Orson Gygi all in the corner of the playroom while she was “watching a show” and I was folding her laundry upstairs. When I found this I honestly wasn’t mad but couldn’t believe how fast she made this mess! Silence and toddlers is never a good thing! I took some pictures and videos to remember it but was not sure what to do about replacing it since it took me years to build up this stash!
The angles at Orson Gygi saw my story on my Instagram stories and contacted me. The lady who chatted with me was SO nice and understanding. She is a mom too and shared with me a time when her toddler made a huge mess. Long story short, they offered to replace ALL of my sprinkles that my toddler had dumped. I was beyond grateful and love them even more! What a blessing! And now I have quite the story to tell about Carina! haha

Thoughts/Things I’m Loving Lately:
-We got this Princess Castle Play Tent for my daughter for Christmas and she is LOVING it! When she’s up for sharing my other kids love it too!
-Santa brought Luke these Magic Tracks and everyone in the family loves it!
-This toy has the possibility of driving you crazy but my kids LOVE it! It’s a hamster toy that repeats everything you say or the sounds you make. We gave this to the kids to open while we were on our trip and it was the perfect toy. My 15-month-old loves it the most!
What products or things are you loving lately? I’d love to hear!
