A review of your favorite recipes from July, a little from my life and recipe inspiration for August!
How was your July? Did you go on vacation? We went on a long trip to Orcas Island, Washington. It’s so beautiful there! We took our time driving up there, spending a day in Seattle. It’s not my favorite thing to travel with little ones and being in my 3rd trimester. But overall it was a fun trip! We met up with almost all of my husband’s family there so it was great to be together.
When do your kids start school? Mine will start 2 weeks from today. One of them is excited one of them not so much but I know they will both love it. They like school. It’s just hard to adjust after a fun and relaxing summer.
Here’s a look back at July…

Becky’s Bites of Life:
My brother and his family came into town late June/early July. They live in Ohio so it was so great to see them again! I made my Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies a couple of times for them because they love it so much. And I perfected doubling the recipe and will be sharing that recipe soon!
On Orcas Island, we discovered THE BEST chocolate I have had in my life! I can’t even explain how good it was! The texture and taste were spot on! If you ever get the chance to try Seattle Chocolates, especially this flavor, DO IT!
We’ve been working on potty training the past couple of weeks. Luckily it’s going well so far! She was super excited about her prize! She loves the Little People Princesses.
I’m 30 weeks pregnant now! Baby girl is moving like crazy! She moves the most when I finally get the chance to rest in the evenings and I can see her moving all around. It’s so neat! We are getting so excited! I’m doing pretty well, the pains I was having in June have gotten better but I get tired more often now. My husband just finished putting together her dresser so I am ready to start nesting and getting the baby girl clothes I have ready so I can see what I still need for her.
Recipe Inspiration for August:

Thoughts/Things I’m Loving Lately:
-We bought this camera lens for our trip to Washington and it was great! We got some good pictures of our whale watch etc.
-This is my favorite heat protector spray. I love how easily it sprays and it has a lock too which is great since I have a very curious little guy who likes to help me get ready each day.
-I bought each of my kids a little toy/activity to help them on our long drive to Washington and back. One of the favorites was this LED black fidget spinner.
What products or things are you loving lately? I’d love to hear!
Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes! I have some delicious recipes coming your way! Leave a comment letting me know what you are up to this August!

You’re getting so close! I had an end of August and an September baby and I remember those very hot summer months vividly. It’s a good thing those sweet babes are worth it! 🙂
We are so excited we are getting closer! It’s tough being pregnant in the summer. I did the same thing 2 years ago but yes, definitely worth it! 🙂
