Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2016 by becky Leave a Comment

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas M&M Explosion Cookies

Hi friends! I just wanted to drop in real quick to wish you a Merry Christmas! Thank you all for stopping by often and making me a small part of your lives. I am so thankful for you! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. I think this year is going to be my favorite Christmas ever mostly because my boys are so excited! They have been counting down the days until Christmas and they are so excited Christmas Eve is already here!

They helped me make these cookies today which are inspired by their all-time favorite cookie, Peanut Butter Cup Explosion Cookies. If you are curious how I made these Christmas M&M Exposion Cookies it’s my Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies made with about 3 tablespoons of dough. Baked for around 10-11 minutes then topped with melted dark chocolate chips and topped with M&M’s. I just had to try one (Santa will understand right?!) and man was it GOOD!

Luke

I don’t have a recent family picture to share with you all but here is one I took this morning of my baby Luke. Having my sweet baby around this Christmas has helped me think about my Savior even more. How grateful I am for Him! I loved watching this video with my kids to remember more about the life of Jesus and to inspire us to serve others around us. Serving others and being kind is how we can show our love for Jesus.

I just want to share one more thing. You have to watch this video by David Archuleta. This year has brought many new trials my way. One being having a new baby while my husband was incredibly busy with work and his Executive MBA program. I had to carry the majority of the responsibility to care for my four kids on my own with little sleep for a couple months and it wasn’t always easy. Prayer is the one thing that helped me through it. I felt the Lord give me strength I didn’t know I had and felt His love. I know He cares for all of us and hears us.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and may it be filled with delicious food, love and happiness!

I’d love if you leave me a comment and let me know what are your plans for this Christmas? Do you have any traditions? Any involving food? My husband and I always have cheese fondue together.

Love,

-Becky
