Mornings with My Little Mover

June 25, 2016 by becky 7 Comments

Carina is almost 16 months now and always on the go! She is either crawling around on her knees or practicing her new skill of walking. Either way she is on the move discovering the world around her and keeping her mommy busy! In this post you’ll find ideas that help our mornings go smoother and keep Carina happy as well as the best breakfast foods for toddlers.

She is quite the little mover so to keep her happy and dry we use Huggies Little Movers® Diapers.

Mornings with My Little Mover

Since Carina is always wanting to be on the move as soon as I open her door in the mornings she is eager to see me and get out of her crib to continue exploring everything around her.

Huggies Little Movers

Carina is currently obsessed with her shoes. She often insists on going to sleep holding on tight to them and often wakes up the same way. Silly girl!

Huggies Little Movers

Just after waking up she “helped” me put her diapers away. She thought it was pretty funny! We love using Huggies Little Movers® because it keeps her dry throughout the day and night. The leak lock protection offers up to 12 hours of protection which I love! And the dry touch liner absorbs on contact so she can stay dry through her many adventures!

French Toast

After getting dressed it was her favorite time of the day! Breakfast time! Carina LOVES to eat! So I am always making new recipes for her (and the rest of the family) to enjoy. This morning she had French Toast, blueberries and apple juice. A good healthy breakfast helps her be happy in the mornings.

Here are some more great breakfast ideas for toddlers: Carrot Pancakes, Healthy Sweet Potato Pancakes, Weekend Brunch Casserole, Pumpkin Waffles, toast, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast quesadilla, breakfast burritos, cereal, yogurt, bagel and cream cheese, muffins etc.

Toddler Playing

Now it was time to play! It is so hot outside so we decided to play in our 3rd garage and driveway. She likes to pretend she can ride this bike. It sure is cute! She loves being on the move!

Toddler Playing

Once it got too hot outside we came back in to cool off. Her brothers got all the balls in the house and we had a ball party! Carina thought it was hilarious!

My kids are now 7, 4 and 16 months. Each stage is different but so special. I love the toddler stage because of the energy they have and excitement for every new thing. Sometimes it’s hard that she can’t communicate as much as my older kids. She loves to say “this” about everything. But she understands so much and even though her vocabulary is limited I feel like we understand each other. The love we have for each other is like nothing else and I know this stage won’t last long so I’m trying to savor every moment. I’m so glad I took more time than usual this morning to capture our fun moments together because I know all too well how fast kids grow up!

Huggies Little Movers

A little after lunch it was time for nap time. We like to play in her room together before I lay her in her crib. After I changed her diaper she of course took off. She thinks it is hilarious to run away from me while not completely dressed! haha Pretty cute but I’m almost 7 months pregnant now so sometimes it’s difficult.

Huggies Little Movers

She took off to her brother’s room to grab some of their toys to play with in her room. She thinks it’s so funny to take their things. She’s so young but is definitely her own person with her own personality and I love it!

Huggies Little Movers

How funny is this? Asher, my 4 year old, calls this her donkey kong move. She cracks us up!

I gave her a big hug and kiss then it was nap time.

It was a great morning. I’ve found mornings go smoothly when I make sure she starts her day with a healthy breakfast and make sure she has plenty of play time. She likes when I have some things in mind for play time but most of the time I let her do her own thing. She never seems bored and is really good about entertaining herself. It helps her creativity.

Also very important is making sure her diaper doesn’t leak and is comfortable to move in. That’s why we use Huggies Little Movers® because Carina is always on the move! Only Huggies diapers have a stretchy SnugFit waistband to keep the diaper in place so she can move and play. In the past we have tried other diapers that do start coming off of my toddlers when they are active. You don’t want that to happen!

Sam's Club

Awesome deal! Sam’s Club® members will save $3.00 instantly at check out starting now until July 17th on Huggies! It’s such a good deal I went ahead and in addition to Carina’s diapers I bought a box of diapers for my little guy due in 3 months!

We like to garden, play with her water table, play with a ball and bubbles. Right now, she likes simple foods – blueberries, cheese, yogurt, and fish fillets.

We are loving the warmer weather and playing in the backyard! We love to go swimming together too! I love to make the kids smoothies with Greek yougurt, fruit and spinach. They love to drink them and I love that it’s something healthy for them! 🙂

Thanks for sharing! It’s so nice when it’s warm so you don’t have to stay inside all day. Smoothies are the best!

That was funny about her shoe obsession. Mine had a little pocket dictionary that he liked to carry around. That and plastic spoons and hairbrushes. It’s funny what they like to play with. I miss those days.
