Pregnancy Update (20 Weeks)

May 24, 2016 by becky 2 Comments

Pregnancy Update… 20 weeks pregnant!
20 Weeks Pregnant

It’s been just over a month since I announced I was pregnant so I thought it’d be fun to do a little pregnancy update! I’m 20 weeks and 6 days so really let’s round up and say 21! Over halfway and I’m so excited!

Boy or Girl?

He’s a boy! I knew it! We are so excited! Soon I’ll do a post to share the cute and yummy way I announced the gender!

How have you been feeling?

Depends on the day. Lately I’m doing pretty good but some days my energy is lacking and I take naps sometimes. A few aches and pains at times but overall I can’t complain too much. I’m certainly feeling big but know I’ll only get bigger. lol

Any cravings?

Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches and everything chocolate! (Why does chocolate taste even more amazing when pregnant?!)

What recipes have you been making from your blog?

I always keep my No-Bake Energy Bites in the fridge. Carina loves them too. (I make it w/o the M&M’s and + 1/2 cup shredded coconut.) Also, most mornings I either have yogurt and fruit or a green smoothie. The kids and I love my Homemade Graham Cracker recipe. I’ve been keeping dinners simple and quick but always delicious! Lately we’ve had Chicken Fajitas, Penne Al Forno, Low-Cal Alfredo, Breakfast Sandwiches (my husband makes these), and Skillet Spicy Sausage Pasta.

How do your kids feel about you having a boy?

The boys are SO excited! They can’t wait to have another brother and Carina doesn’t mind! haha It will be fun to pull out the baby boy clothes again since when he is born it will have been almost 5 years since I last used them! I’m sure I’ll buy a few new things though for him for fun and something new.

Hardest part of this pregnancy?

Still is Carina! She’s so adorable but a handful. I have got her to nurse only 2-3 times a day now so that’s good. I do not plan on nursing two babies!

Baby Movements?

Yes and I love it! I’ve felt him move for a over a month now but it’s been the most noticeable the last couple weeks. I LOVE feeling my baby move and am excited for the kids to feel him move too. Asher is super excited for his baby brother and gives my baby bump kisses throughout the day and each morning wants to know when baby is awake meaning the first time I feel him move. It’s super cute!

Final thoughts?

I cant’ believe I’ll have 4 kids in only a few months but am really excited! I love my kids so much and it’s been so much fun to see how excited they are for their new baby brother already!

Any pregnancy tips you’d like to share with me? Favorite healthy recipes? Favorite products? Workouts? Anything else?

-Becky

I’m so excited for you to meet your new baby boy and for us to have kids so close in age! I have totally been craving chocolate lately too! I hope the second half of our pregnancies goes by as fast as the first 🙂

Thanks so much Sydney! It’s fun having our due dates so close! We’ll definitely need to have chocolate next time we get together! 🙂
