Happy April Fools Day! I hope today is filled with fun tricks and nothing mean! I’m writing this post the day before April Fools but plan on giving my kids cheerios with a note saying, “Donut Seeds.” I know they are going to think it’s so funny since they love donuts! (Free printable here.)
Did you have a good March? We had a great month. The best part was when Carina turned 1 on March 3rd! I’ll share some pictures below. She had a great birthday! Spring break is next week and my boys are so excited. We have lots of fun plans including sleepovers at both grandma’s houses and them helping me make doughnuts. They are so excited!
Here’s a quick recap of last month.
The Most Popular Recipe in March was…
This recipe is crazy easy and good! It uses a box brownie mix and only a few other ingredients. Feel free to just add just chocolate chips or be creative and add your favorite candy to it!
And my most popular recipe of the month that wasn’t posted in March was Supreme Pasta Salad.
My Favorite Recipes in March were…
The fastest and best way to enjoy Mint Brownies! This recipe rocks! Feel free to add whatever you want on top! I usually just add some chocolate chips.
In my opinion these are the best brownie recipes you will ever make! Check it out!
Becky’s Bites of Life:
My adorable Carina turned 1! What an amazing year it has been! I love this girl like crazy! I can’t even begin to put in words how much I love her. It’s been amazing watching my boys adore her too. They love to play with her and make her laugh and they get as excited as me when she does new things. Last month she stood up on her own for the first time and the boys and I just stared at her in amazement. Once she stopped without saying a word we all just clapped for her and she was SO happy! It was one of the sweetest moments! Carina adores her daddy too and they have a special relationship. I love to see them interact.
Carina continues to be a very curious baby. She loves exploring everything! (That means most my day is spent putting Tupperware back, dvd’s etc!) She loves baby dolls and stuffed animals and often carries them around the house with her. She loves to cuddle with those toys and hug them. Carina gets around on her knees. People think it’s pretty hilarious. Asher did the same thing. She can stand and gets a big smile on her face when she does but she doesn’t do it too often yet. She easily stands and walks around holding on to something with one hand. Walking isn’t too far in her future! She LOVES to eat! I’m always thinking of new food ideas to give her because like me she doesn’t like eating the same thing too often! Any food suggestions would be appreciated. And yes she does eat what we eat but ideas are appreciated!
Carina had a very fun birthday. We went to the library in the morning then after her nap we went to the aquarium and had pizza. (She of course loved it!) Then we did presents and had cake. She wasn’t so sure what to think of her cake at first but ended up loving it so much I had to take it away so she wouldn’t eat it all! haha I just used a cake mix but since I never use canned frosting (yuck!) I used my favorite vanilla buttercream frosting and colored it purple. I think it turned out pretty cute!
Levi (my oldest) had his First Grade program this week. It was fun to watch him perform but the best part was how excited he was that we were all there to support him (including his two grandma’s.) He’s such a sweet kid and is amazing me with how many things he knows. He loves to learn!
What things are you looking most forward to this April?
Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes! I have some delicious recipes coming your way!
