Happy September! Although it’s not officially fall yet it sure feels like it and I am loving it! I abslutley love the fall! It’s my favorite season. What’s not to love? (Except for days that get too cold.) I love the changing color of the leaves, the way it looks especially in the mountains, the smells, rain, pumpkins, college football and my birthday! It’s a great time!
I hope you all had a fun summer! We had a lot of fun and I kept busy keeping my cute little boys entertained with lots of trips to the aquarium, parks, to visit cousins, little trips and so much more. Their favorite part of the summer was our camping trip to Dinosaurland. They still talk about it all the time and love to recreate the camping experience.

Becky’s Bites of Life:
Can you believe I met James Franco!? My mom told me they would be filming a big Hollywood movie at my neighbors house so I decided to hang out with my mom that day. Little did I know James Franco would be in this movie! I hardly did my hair and makeup that day too! So honestly meeting him was a little awkward but so cool too. Awkward because I interuppted his lunch (I didn’t know he was eating) and cool because well it’s James Franco. He looked pretty perfect and was nice to let me get a picture with him.
That day was so amazing. They shot quite a few scenes at the house. The house used to be my great-grandparents house and was built in the 1890’s so it has a cool unique look. I loved seeing behind the scenes of a movie and I met a few people working on the movie and they were all very polite. I also met Robert Duvall. It was awesome!
Back in 2005 I did a Study Abroad to Spain. It was seriously some of the best few months of my life. I love Spain! While there I fell in love with this amazing cereal. I still think about it! Well my brother just went on a trip to Spain and was so nice to bring me back some boxes. What an awesome brother! Eating it again brought me back to that time in my life. It is still as good as it was back then! Such chocolately goodness but not too sweet! If you are going to Spain bring me back some! Just kidding.. (not really…)
Levi was thrilled to go to his first Father’s and Son’s campout. We even made a countdown chain because he kept asking me constantly how many more days. He had a blast and I sure enjoyed some time to myself and with Asher. (He stayed with me because Derek was in charge of everything so he was more busy.)
We are beyond thrilled college football has started up! We LOVE it! This picture is from the BYU fall scrimmage game. The boys loved being at the stadium.
Levi played teeball this summer. It was definitely not his favorite thing to do but overall I think he enjoyed it. His favorite things were family cheering him on at the games and the treats after. Cute kid!
I can’t believe it but my little guy started Kindergarten! I was nervous for him adjusting but so far so good! He likes his teacher and seems to enjoy it. I am loving a little more peace and quiet in the morning just with Asher and our walks to take him and pick him up each day.
I hope you all have a wonderful September! What things are you looking most forward to this month?
Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes! I have an awesome fall one for you this Thursday I created!

Those death by chocolate brownies look fantastic! And way cool that you met James Franco!
Thank you Lauren!
Love your recap! You had a busy month!!!
Thanks! It was a fun month but busy!
That’s so cool that you got to meet James Franco! I don’t really care for him as an author or a professor, from what I’ve read. As an actor, though, I could watch him all day! haha
It looks like your family had a great summer. I’m glad that you got to make such wonderful family memories!
It was very cool! But yes, he is a little bit of an interesting person. I definitely love some of his movies though!
