Levi is 5!

June 12, 2014 by becky 4 Comments

Hey friends!  I hope you don’t mind if I take a break from recipes today to share a little about my Levi!  His birthday was yesterday and he turned 5 years old! Looking back on the past 5 years it certainly hasn’t been easy being a mom. He teaches me to learn more patience and grow each day as a mother. But they have been the best 5 years! I love my Levi with all my heart! He is such a sweet boy and he loves me so much. He knows just what to say to help me in life’s hard moments and we have so much fun together! I was looking back through my pictures and it was so fun to see him grow from a sweet baby boy to a big 5 year old! Here are some cute pictures of him.

His 2nd birthday! Look at that hair! I was sad we cut it but he was getting so hot in the summer. The curls are gone forever now. 🙁

Love to be in the KitchenAnd now he is 5! We had fun day packed full of fun activities and good food. Since his birthday party isn’t until Saturday and I didn’t want to make cake/cupcakes twice I just froze some of the cookie dough I made for the wedding reception cookie bar and baked it up tonight and it was perfect! These cookie are amazing. (If you haven’t tried this recipe yet you need to!) I don’t like my cookies warm out of the oven so I put mine in the freezer for 30 minutes and it was SO GOOD! Oh my gosh. Seriously the best cookie I’ve ever had! I love how the chocolate was hard.

I can’t believe how much Levi has grown up! I loved each stage and look forward to the coming years. I am so grateful and blessed to be his mommy!

Each year we ask him a set of fun birthday interview questions so we remember his favorite things from each age. You can find all the questions HERE but here is a few of his answers from this year:

What is your favorite animal? Lizard

What is your favorite book? Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site

What is your favorite snack? Frozen Blueberries

Who is your best friend? Asher

What is your favorite thing to do? Build withK’nex Models

Where is your favorite place to go? The aquarium

Such a cute kid!
