March 31, 2014 by becky 26 Comments

Hello Aprilbackground via

Can you believe tomorrow is April 1st!? No joke! lol I am excited for the weather to warm up even more so I can go outside and play with my boys. We just had snow the other day! It was a crazy weather day. We had snow, hail, rain and sunshine all in one day! I’m excited for another month of Becky’s Bites of Life. Here’s a little that’s been going on with my blog and my life.

This is a family favorite recipe!

My Favorite Recipes in March were…

Strawberry LemonadeStrawberry Lemonade

My favorite drink is lemonade! So when I made this recipe with only strawberries, lemon, honey and water I was so excited to share it with you guys! It’s amazing and my boys love it!

Dark Chocolate M&M CookiesDark Chocolate M&M Cookies

Did you catch Dark Chocolate Week? I shared these beautiful and delicious Dark Chocolate M&M Cookies, my Dark Chocolate Buttercream Frosting and 30+ other delicious dark chocolate recipes! And for those of you that don’t like dark chocolate you can easily substitute your favorite type of chocolate.

Fun Blog News:

My Graham Cracker recipe is already my #1 most viewed recipe of all time! (Although my stats are only from September when I switched from blogger to Word Press) And my Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos are already my most pinned recipe! 41K+! πŸ™‚

I am SO close to 3,000 Facebook likes! Can you believe it? Who wants to help me reach 3,000? I really appreciate it!

Becky’s Bites of Life:

Salt Lake TempleI went on a romantic date to The Roof in Salt Lake City. We love that restaurant but it’s a little pricey but thanks to a Christmas gift card we were able to go again. The view is stunning. It has an amazing view of the Salt Lake Temple and we sat by a window and saw the sun set. The food was amazing as well! It was the best I’ve ever had there.

Love to be in the KitchenI had a fun girls night out with my sister-in-law Janell. We went to the Freebies 2 Deals book launch party to celebrate Melea’s new book, Create Your Own Money-Saving Adventure. It was such a fun night! They had giveaways, which sadly I didn’t win and delicious donuts from Beyond Glaze. I am so obsessed with those donuts now! They are so pretty and so good! Β I also met some bloggers! (I mostly chatted with Tara from Keep Moving Forward with Me and Jen from My Daylights)

Love to be in the KitchenMy boys love when I take them to visit family. We visited with my mother-in-law last week. The kids had fun playing while we discussed my sister-in-law’s upcoming wedding. She is going to be having a cookie bar at her reception so I will be making a crazy amount of chocolate chip cookies!

Cake BallsMy other sister-in-law just graduated from Paul Mitchel. I asked her what type of treat I could make her and she requested cake balls. I don’t make cake balls often anymore because they are time consuming but because I am nice and she deserved it I made some! These were made with chocolate cake and my favorite vanilla bean frosting. They turned out so pretty!

BYUWe had a fun time this past weekend attending the BYU football Spring Scrimmage. We can’t wait for football season to begin again!

I hope you all have a wonderful April! What are you looking forward to most this month?

Stay tuned for more fun and delicious recipes!

I’m most looking forward to my mom’s 80th birthday party this month. It will be the first time my brother and sisters and all the spouses and cousins will have been together at the same time since my wedding 12 years ago. It’s going to be a blast!
