I love Valentine’s Day! It’s such a special day to show those you love how much you care about them! Showing love through food is always fun too! Here are some fun recipes to make on Valentine’s Day for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and of course dessert!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valenetine’s Day this year!
Breakfast
So easy to make and beyond delicious!
Strawberry Butter Hearts on French Toast
Or toasted English Muffins, pancakes, waffles, toast etc.
Bacon Hearts from The Paper Mama
Eggs in a Nest from A Bird and a Bean
Heart Shaped Pancakes from Very Best Baking
Heart Shaped Sausage (Breakfast Sandwich)
I made this as a surprise breakfast for my husband last week and he loved it so much I am making it again for his birthday breakfast next week!
To make Heart Shaped Sausage: On a sheet of waxed paper, press sausage into a heart shaped cookie cutter until evenly distributed. Make sure it’s not too thick because it will thicken up as it cooks. To make sure the sausage keeps it’s shape, using my hands, I made a bigger indentation down the top middle of the heart and spread apart the two top halves a little more. I also put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes (on a plate lined with wax paper) then cooked it in a pan on the stove top.
Strawberry Milk from Pastry Affair
I can’t wait to try this as soon as I get more strawberries! I think my kids will love this.
Lunch
Heart Shaped Sandwich from Celebrate Creativity
This idea works with almost any sandwich! This picture is making me hungry.
Heart Shaped Kabobs from Mrs. and the Misc.
Not everything needs to be heart shaped right? These little sandwiches are so delicious and I think bites sized anything is so cute! If you want to add a little heart love to this you could add paper hearts the the toothpicks.
Banana Love Note from Barefeet in the Kitchen
PB & J
Use a cookie cutter to cut the bread in either a big heart or smaller hearts. You can also cut out a small heart out of one piece of the bread and make sure the jam layer is under that bread so a pretty red color shows through.
Perfect Snack to go along with a fruit dip, chocolate fondue or peanut butter. Or perfect on their own. My kids and I love these!
Dinner
Heart Shaped Veggie Salad from Spend With Pennies
Such a cute and healthy idea!
Heart Shaped Pizza with Heart Shaped Pepperoni from Makezine
This is such a cute idea! You can make individual little pizza’s or a bigger family size pizza. You can also add heart shaped green peppers, spinach etc.
We avoid restaurants on Valentine’s Day because they are too busy! So why not make your favorite meal from your favorite restaurant instead of fighting the crowds? My brother and sister-in-law make this recipe every Valentine’s Day.
In my opinion, cheese fondue is the most romantic dinner you could have!
Red & White Pasta
Add your favorite red pasta sauce and Alfredo sauce on top of your favorite type of pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Desserts
Chocolate Fondue from Babble
Double Chocolate Cupcakes with Strawberry Buttercream Frosting
A unique dessert, darling and so darn good!
10 x’s easier than Sugar Cookies and so yummy!
Chocolate Covered Brownie Hearts
Simple to make and beyond delicious! These are so cute!
Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting
My favorite sugar cookie recipe!
Sugar Cookies with Strawberry Buttercream Frosting
No food coloring or sprinkles needed!
Triple Dark Chocolate Brownies
No doubt, one of the best brownies I have had in my life!
