Kale Popcorn

November 13, 2013 by becky 19 Comments

Kale Popcorn

Popcorn is such a fun snack! My 4 year old loves making popcorn with me. We make it on the stove top and he loves seeing it pop like crazy! As you know, I recently tried Kale for the first time and fell in love!  Kale chips are a fun snack but you know what I love even more? Popcorn and kale! This recipe is about as easy as you can get. All do you is mix together kale chips and popped popcorn. You can pop your own popcorn like I do, use an air-popper, microwave a bag of popcorn.. etc. Whatever works best for you! Then just bake up some kale chips and toss them together! You can either crunch the kale and sprinkle it over your popcorn or just mix the kale chips with the popcorn.

Some other fun options.. if you like spice you could add some red pepper flakes. This would be a perfect Christmas snack because of the red and green! Or you could add some freshly grated parmesan cheese which would be delicious! Any way you make it this is a fun and healthy snack!

Remember to check my blog tomorrow! I will be posting a fantastic round-up of 30+ Delicious Kale Recipes!

Popped popcorn (homemade or store-bought)

This is such an interesting idea! I’ve only had kale chips once and I loved them (but I used too much oil…). I love popcorn, too, so I am definitly going to have to give this a try!
