Cookie Dough That’s Safe to Eat!

February 1, 2012 by becky 3 Comments

Cookie dough is so good! Most people I know love making cookies just to sneak in a few bites (or more) of the dough.  I love cookie dough but haven’t had it for a while because of the raw egg, especially since I’ve been pregnant twice in the last couple of years.

My in-laws love cookie dough so to thank them for watching Levi while I had Asher I made them a batch of this incredibly yummy cookie dough!  As soon as I finished making it I took a bite and was in heaven! I felt like a little girl again making cookies and sneaking in bites of cookie dough! And like I said I haven’t had cookie dough in so long I felt like I was doing something bad. ha! Seriously. It was sooo good. I had to tell myself to stop eating it!  So if you are like me don’t make this just for yourself but make it to share!  This would be a fun treat to make for a party.

The dough tastes just like cookie dough should. This recipe replaces the egg with milk so it still has that great creamy texture to it. Mmmmm! It’s so easy to make too. All you do is place all the ingredients in one bowl and mix it up!  And don’t try baking it.

Eggless Cookie Dough

Recipe from Cup Cake Project
Ingredients:

2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
4 Tablespoon milk
Any amount of any mix-in (chocolate chips, nuts, fruit etc.)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a big bowl and enjoy!

Here are some other ways of using this cookie dough other than just eating it from the bowl:

  • Make your own cookie dough ice cream by mixing this with vanilla ice cream.
  • Swirl in some fudge for cookie dough fudge.
  • Make cookie dough cupcakes.
